Longer Days Mark Legislative Session

Having passed the halfway point last week, the General Assembly is putting in more time in committees and on the floor.
The next milestone is within sight, and legislative leaders are beginning to react to the coming deadline. They have been in session for 21 days of the 40 allowed, and in nine more work days, every bill that hasn’t passed either the House or Senate will be dead. Crossover Day is slated for March 7, the day after a legislative holiday for Super Tuesday.
